UNE celebrates summer 2023 graduation

Published 24 November 2023

The University of New England invites friends and family of graduands and the wider community to celebrate the success of our graduands at the 2023 summer graduation ceremonies.

Held over three ceremonies from 7-9 December, more than 1500 guests are expected to flock to UNE’s Armidale campus to support 626 students as they graduate.

UNE Vice-Chancellor Professor Chris Moran said he looks forward to welcoming students and guests to Armidale.

“UNE’s summer graduation is an absolute highlight on our calendar. For some of our on-line students, this may be their first time on our stunning Armidale campus and receiving their testamurs on the lawns of historic Booloominbah is so important to them and our staff who supported them through their degree.

“For our Armidale and residential college based students, their graduation is equally as important as they welcome their friends and family to join them in Armidale where they may have spent the last several years as a part of our community.

“I extend the invitation to the wider community to come up to the Armidale campus and hear from the speakers at the three ceremonies. A live stream will also be available for those who are not able to attend.”

A feature of the summer 2023 Graduation is the Faculty of Medicine and Health ceremony on Friday, where over 187 health professionals will graduate from their studies, including a large cohort of nurses.
