Dr John Stuckey

John Stuckey graduated from UNE in 1972 with a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (Hons I), and then a Master of Economics in 1974.

He then worked as an economic consultant in Sydney with Philip Shrapnel & Company, after which he went to the United States and completed a PhD in Business Economics at Harvard University.

Dr Stuckey returned to Australia in 1978 and joined the economics faculty at Sydney University. After several years there, he joined the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company where he spent the bulk of his career. He served in the latter years as Managing Partner in Australia and New Zealand, and then Chairman of Asia.

Since retiring from McKinsey in 2007, Dr Stuckey has fulfilled various board and advisory roles in the business, public and sports sectors.
