Join the UNE 21+ conversation

Published 01 July 2020

The UNE 21+ conversation comes at a pivotal point in the university’s long history, and at a moment in time when the education sector as a whole grapples with a rapidly changing and increasingly challenging world.

Our fundamental purpose as a university will not change significantly; UNE must retain its commitment to providing quality education to those in need.  How we design and deliver our educational offerings, and add value through our engagement in productive knowledge partnerships, must be determined through a wider conversation.

This is both an opportunity and a challenge for UNE and we are inviting our stakeholders to participate in the conversation and share their ideas; a broad spectrum model of engagement will  help us to think big, be creative and develop the landscape for a strategic plan that will enable UNE to succeed and prosper over the next decade.

Our success as a university must also be enabling of success in the communities we serve and support. As one of the leading regional universities in Australia, we are an anchor institution that must connect with and embrace the needs of the region.

Current health restrictions determine that the consultation process must start with a predominately online mode of engagement. A dedicated UNE 21+ site has been created to enable voices and opinions to be shared widely as the conversation progresses.

Those interested in being a part of this collaborative experience can access the UNE21+ portal at jointheconversation.une.edu.au by registering and logging in.

The UNE 21+ platform will be live until the end of August and we encourage all UNE’s friends and partners to join the staff, students and alumni in conversation.

If you have any questions regarding the process or the platform please contact Debbie Bridge in the Office of Strategy Management at jointheconversation@une.edu.au.
