Visitors Parking
Visitors wishing to park at UNE are required to abide by the UNE Parking Policy. Parking at UNE operates under a Restricted Parking Scheme which means that vehicles must park in bays identified by signage. Vehicles that park in areas such as on the grass, on footpaths, or anywhere signage is not erected permitting you to park, may result in the issuing of a Penalty Notice.
As of 1st May 2025 parking on campus in Blue & Purple (Visitor) parking bays is free of charge. This applies to all Visitors, Staff & Students. In the coming months the Blue & Purple permits signs will be replaced with General Parking signs that look like this.
The reasons behind this decision are to:
- Encourage on campus attendance for classes, study sessions and campus services and to support participation in UNE clubs, events and extracurricular activities.
- Encourage community members to attend on campus events.
- Remove the significant burden of administration and enforcement for staff, freeing up resources to where they are more needed around campus.
- Reduce the financial burden on staff and students at a time of increasing cost of living.
UNE has Blue & Purple (Visitor) parking (now referred to as General Parking) located all over campus.
Visitors can also park in a timed bays (15 minute, 30 minute, 2 hour) but not longer than allowed.
Visitors are no longer required to pay for parking on campus.
Available is an interactive map that shows the type & location of all parking bays on the main campus.
The parking of Motor Cycles on Campus is now free of charge when parked in General Parking bays.
