Home Town: Bellata, NSW
Degree: Bachelor of Nursing
After completing 6 years of boarding school I decided to have a gap year and chose to work on my family farm in Northern NSW for the year.
I got in to study a Bachelor of Nursing at UNE on the early entry program. My decision to study nursing was based on seeing first-hand the lack of young knowledgeable nurses in the bush.
After meeting many down to earth and diverse Albies students from all walks of life, I applied to the St Alberts College. On my first day, the Residential Support Team (RST) welcomed me, helped me carry my bags and instantly made me feel welcome.
The strong friendships that everyone makes at Albies are supportive networks for life, through the ups and downs. In your present and future life, your Albies friends will have your back. I have made strong friendships here that will continue for the rest of my life. I enjoy every minute that I spend here from dining hall chats to all the extremely fun events.
All going to plan at the end of this year I will graduate with my Degree, and hope to end up in rural Australia and one day work for the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
Once you're Albies you're Albies for life.
