His expertise spans the energy, water, transport, health, education, defence, and social impact sectors, as well as infrastructure policy and regulation.  His experiences led to external appointments both in Australia and overseas, notably with the National Centre for Privatisation and PPPs in Saudi Arabia.  This appointment provides strategic advice to the Kingdom, shaping their infrastructure investment agenda.

Augmenting his professional experiences, Steven enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws at UNE. He was encouraged to enroll in UNE because it offered an online component which provided the avenue for him to undertake his degree whilst maintaining work and travel commitments.
