Chelsea is a highly experienced legal professional with over 13 years’ experience practising in Family, Children’s and Criminal Law matters. She is a founding Principal Solicitor of Moin Morris Schaefer, with offices in Armidale and Bellingen. Chelsea is widely regarded for her meticulous preparation, sound professional judgment, and strong advocacy skills, and is known for her client-focused approach. She is a passionate practitioner committed to delivering high-quality, practical, and cost-effective legal solutions tailored to the individual needs of her clients.
Chelsea studied on campus at the University of New England, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws in 2011. During her time at UNE, she was a resident of Drummond & Smith College, where she developed a strong connection to the university community.
As an Alumni Ambassador Mentor, Chelsea brings valuable insight drawn from her legal practice, as well as her experience in business ownership and management. She is committed to supporting and mentoring the next generation of UNE graduates as they transition from university into professional careers.
The Alumni Ambassador Mentoring Program is important because it provides graduates with practical meaningful support and guidance, perspective, and reassurance as they transition from university into professional life. The program provides access to real-world insight, practical guidance, and perspective that cannot always be gained in a classroom setting. Experienced alumni can help graduates navigate early career decisions, build confidence, develop professional judgment, and understand workplace expectations. The program also fosters connection, belonging, and continuity between graduates and the university community, reinforcing a culture of support, lifelong learning, and giving back, which I am extremely passionate about as a local business owner.
