The Science Experience 2025
14-16 July 2025
We invite students in Year 9 and 10 to join us at UNE for a 3-day fun-filled, hands-on science camp. The 3-day program provides students with exciting and challenging hands-on activities across multiple disciplines, facilitated by leading scientists and academics. Students will participate in workshops in diverse areas such as chemistry, neuroscience, biomedical science, coding, animal science, agriculture and more. They will engage with real scientists, use real laboratories and experience real science.
We will also hold a career panel discussion on the final day where students can interact with scientists from industry, government and/or academia, focussing on the changing job market in science and ways to help students identify their passion and interests.
The program is designed so that students stay on campus and experience what it’s like to live at university in a residential college. Accommodation is supervised and enhances their experience by strengthening their rapport with other students and builds on the social aspects of the program. Supervised evening activities are also provided.
Costs:
Registration with “The Science Experience” is $220 per student for the 3-day program
