Outreach and Engagement
UNE Discovery – cultivating curiosity, creativity, confidence and collaborative can-do attitudes
The UNE Discovery Program is an approach to outreach, engagement and education of whole communities within which the University is embedded, and reaching outward to visitors in our region. It is comprised of three parts:
- Discovery Voyager, our effective award-winning mobile discovery platform for students from Kindergarten to Year 10;
- The Science Experience - a three-day, fun-filled science camp and experience what it is like to live on campus in a university residential college; and
- HSC Booster Days 2025 - Wednesday 11 June and Thursday 12 June 2025. Join UNE specialists for sessions in Chemistry, Maths, Pysics and Biology subjects to enhance discipline knowledge and inspire students.
- Far out Science - is a two day science extravaganza which will be held on campus at UNE on Wednesday 5th November and Thursday 6th November 2025. The event is designed to provide students in primary (years 5 & 6) and secondary (years 7-10) with hands-on, interactive experiences in STEAM to showcase the diversity of science and the breadth of possible careers. Add the date to your calendar, and we’ll have more information out to schools in the region in the near future.
