About Us

Established in 1938, Psychology at UNE is the third oldest Department of Psychology in Australia. The School has a strong research background and a tradition in supporting our regional and rural communities.

Teaching

The School of Psychology aims to provide flexible study options while still providing high quality, academic programs. All our programs are fully accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.

You can study on campus for a traditional face-to-face experience or choose to study online. Find out more about studying Psychology at UNE.

Research

The School is particularly strong in research relating to regional and rural communities, especially in Australia, with a focus on internal and external collaboration. The strength of the research was recognised in 2015 in the most recent Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) exercise in which Psychology received world-class rankings for their research.

Information about our academic staff research interests can be found on the Psychology Staff page.
