About us

Graham Leedham

The School of Science and Technology comprises seven subject disciplines across Sciences and Technologies - Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology and Physiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. The School conducts teaching and research through an exciting range of undergraduate, honours, postgraduate taught courses and research degrees by dissertation within these disciplines.

We offer an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Applied Physics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Genetics, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physiology and Statistics, Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology as well as a number of Combined Majors, Advanced Diplomas, Graduate Certificates and Doctoral degrees. In 2010, we are offering new degrees in Pharmacy, Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science and a new major in Forensic Science. Details can be found in the links on this page.

We are proud of our research achievements across a broad range of disciplines, often supported by internal and external grants and Australian Research Council funding. Research in the School is encompassed in four theme areas as follows:

  • Spatio-temporal data analysis and applications
  • The biology of health and disease
  • Mathematical analysis and modelling
  • Industrial and environmental technology
