In accordance with the University's 2012 change in teaching periods from semesters to trimesters, references to 'semester' should be read as 'trimester' in policy documentation. The change will be incorporated into policies as they are reviewed over time.

The definitive copy of these policies will be the version approved and dated by the appropriate approving body, and should appear under one of the major groupings at the side menu of this site. You are also able to retrieve policy documents using the search facility at the bottom of this page. Drafting a policy: The University's Policy Development Policy and its associated procedures and policy cycle, contain information to assist with the drafting or revision of Vice-Chancellor policies. The Legal and Governance office has oversight of policy development and revision - and is available to provide information and guidance to business units and staff to assist with policy matters. The office will also provide advice to the Vice-Chancellor about the suitability of operational policies for approval. Templates for the preparation of policy and procedures can be obtained by contacting Legal and Governance staff at the email address below. Policy issues log: The Legal and Governance office maintains an issues log, keeping a record of any policies the University community identifies as being out of date or difficult to operationalise.
