Unit information
Extend and complement your undergraduate coursework with practical research experience in this capstone project unit.
Using a structured framework, you will develop a research question and analyse the issue using an appropriate methodology and evidentiary support.
You have the freedom to choose to investigate a significant economic, business and policy question or issue that interest you, in consultation with our experienced academic staff.
You will hone your research and writing skills by preparing a paper that addresses your chosen topic.
Completing the capstone project demonstrates to employers your capacity to manage you time effectively and organise your ideas.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- demonstrate the ability to develop a capstone project, that integrates research findings with the current body of disciplinary knowledge;
- demonstrate knowledge of the chosen subject, building appropriately on the work completed during the earlier years of their program of study; and
- demonstrate a capacity for independent study and self-directed inquiry through research and analysis of literature that reflect the research methodologies, to produce informed written work.
