Research and prepare research publications on significant Local Government matters through the UNE Centre for local government (CLG) where I have been a member since 2002. Undertake regional development policy research using my experience as a member of a Regional Development Board from 2003 to 2009, and since 2009 as Chairperson of the Regional Development Australia Northern Rivers Board. I bring almost 48 years of practitioner (Retired Fellow Local Government Managers Australia) and elected representative experience and wish to also focus on my recent doctoral research and expertise on local government structural reform.
