External sources for citation and other bibliometrics

SciVal
SciVal is a research performance assessment tool provided by Elsevier that draws on the publication and citation data from Scopus. SciVal includes a range of modules that enables publication, citation, and trend analyses, as well as benchmarking and collaboration evaluations. Analyses can be performed from the level of individual researchers through to the institutional and national level. -
Altmetric
Alternative metrics, or Altmetrics, measures how many times a research output has been shared, mentioned or downloaded from online sources such as social media sites, blogs, mainstream media and reference managers. It compliments traditional impact measurement methods and metrics, and is a good alternative for disciplines such as Humanities and Social Sciences -
Incites
InCites is a research performance assessment tool provided by Clarivate Analytics that draws on the publication and citation data from the Web of Science Core Collection. InCites enables a range of reports to be created, including evaluations of citation impact. -
Open Alex
OpenAlex is a free and open catalogue of global research serving as an index of scholarly works, authors, institutions, and their connections. The database is built on data from various open sources like Crossref, ORCID, and preprint repositories.

RDO Tool
The Research Data Optimisation (RDO) Tool facilitates our understanding of what research has been undertaken across all disciplines and all research output types, measured against Fields of Research and Fields of Education. The RDO Tool supports ERA preparation and reporting. Access is restricted. -
RIES Dashboards (COKI)
The Research Impact Evaluation System (RIES) allows for the comparison of a set of research outputs against a set of calculated benchmarks. It provides on-demand reporting for research institutions based on classification systems such as the ANZSRC fields of research (FoR) and ASCED fields of education (FoE), following the methodology planned for the Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) 2023 exercise.
