ProctorU Experience

The Student Council has been inundated with discussions and comments about ProctorU and have decided that this is one of the biggest priorities for 2023.

Student Summit

Planned for early September the theme will be 'Student Safety'. This will be a platform for student to air any grievances directly with the Student council and invited members of staff.

The Student council is ensuring that this is accessible to all students and used in conjunction with the counselling services offered by the university.

Social Media Sub-Committee

We are currently planning on implementing this sub-committee for 2024. We will be looking for passionate students that love creating and designing media communications from Facebook posts to our Newsletter. We are also looking for Student Reporters and Marketing Gurus.

College and RL Support

The Student Council realises the great stress put on Residential Leadership program and the things these students go through in supporting their peers and the impacts it has on their mental and emotional health as well as academically. We are looking into initiatives to support these leaders in all aspects of their role.

SSAF (Student Services and Amenities Fee)

The Student Council is actively involved in SSAF Meetings and publish an annual survey to get information from all students around the allocation of SSAF and how this money can be used to better support students. UNE current policy around SSAF can be found here. So every student should benefit from these services.
