Governance

The UNE Student Council (UNESC), formerly the Student Consultative Committee (SCC), plays an important role in the representation of students across all aspects of the University. From student funding, academic representation and student consultation, the UNESC works as a part of Student Experience to represent and support students. As we are form part of the University business structure, our current governing document is our Student Consultative Committee Constitution.

Committee Structure

Currently, fifteen positions make up the Student Council.

  • 5x - Online Student Representatives
  • 2x - General Student Representatives - Bachelor Degree
  • 2x - General Student Representatives - Post Graduate of Research
  • 2x - International Students Representatives
  • 1x Residential College Representatives
  • 1x Town Student Representative
  • 1x Indigenous Student Representative
  • 1x Pathways/Enabling Course Representative

From these roles there is an elected Executive team, comprising the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Treasurer.
