  • Advanced standing for candidates admitted under rule (b) was added.

“Candidates admitted under Rule (b) shall be granted a maximum of 144 credit points of Block Advanced Standing based on their admission to candidature. Up to a further 24 credit points may be granted based on Psychology units that were not part of the degree on which admission was based.”

  • Transfer from other awards and course progression rule has been modified to raise academic standards.

Students who transfer to 2019 course rules must meet the new transfer requirements listed below.

Transfer from another award: list of units required have been changed from 3 to 4 and PSYC206 has been added to the list of 4 units. The GPA has been raised to 6.5 (two High Distinction and two Distinctions) across the four units and a credit minimum in PSYC101 and PSYC102. Students may apply to transfer within one teaching period after completion of the 4 required units and 96cps.

Advanced Standing: will only be granted for units where students achieved grades that permit course progression requirements.

Progression Requirement: three Distinction grades has been increased to four in 200-level PSYC units; six Distinction grades and two Credit grades have been increased to four High Distinction and four Distinction grades across 8 200 and 300-level specified PSYC units. Eligible students may apply to exit with Bachelor of Psychological Science on completion of 144 cps.
