Admission to Candidature
Additional Requirements: Updated clauses relating to placement within the degree and contact with children to reflect current requirements outlined by the Office for Professional Learning. Advanced Standing: Updated the Advanced Standing requirements to appropriately match UNE policy, to further clarify each portion of Advanced Standing for each admission point. Including clarifying the adition individual unit credit permitted in the award, separate from admission. Additionally, added restrictions to credit applicable for special topic, dissertation and placement units within the degree due to the specific nature of the units. Course Requirements Related to candidates admitted under Rule G, removed an unnecessary clause indicating requirement to complete a major as well as completing the entire Schedule C. Schedule C includes only one major and this was causing confusion. Exit Pathways Added Rule B exit opportunities, which were not present in the award. Simplified the wording within Exit Pathways, and ensured consistency as per other Education awards. Including clarifying re-admission for those who do take an exit. Program of study Listed units - EDCX515, ENGL504, ENGL510, EDSP502 removed | Note change to admission, additional requirements, advance standing, course requirements, exit pathways and program of study |
