  • Four new Majors have been added for candidates admitted under Rule (a): Ancient History; Classical Languages; Peace Studies; and Theatre and Performance

New – Ancient History Major

Prescribed Units:

  • Complete 12 cps from the following units:

Implications for current Graduate Certificate in Arts students

There have been major changes to the Graduate Certificate in Arts for 2015.

  • The course credit points have changed from 24 cps to 48 cps
  • There are now two levels of admission within the Program of Study:
    Candidates admitted under Rule (a): 48 cps to complete
    Candidates admitted under Rule (b): 24 cps Block Advanced Standing plus 24 cps to complete
  • The course now consists of four relevant Majors/Areas of Study only:
    • Chinese Studies: Chinese language and cultural studies
    • Geography: Earth and Environmental Sciences; Studies in Human Societies
    • History: Archaeology; Heritage Studies; History; Indigenous Studies; Languages; Philosophy; Religious Studies
    • Italian Studies: Italian language and cultural studies
