Transfer from another UNE Award

  • Students enrolled in another UNE award may apply for admission into the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours on successful completion of at least 4 units of study (24 credit points), including CHEM110 and MTHS110, with a minimum GPA of 4.6 for 4 graded units of study or 4.3 for 5 or more graded units of study.

Research Thesis – has been changed to Research Report

  • PHAR495 – research report completed in PHAR402H

Calculation of Honours Result

  • Formula for Honours has been added to the rules ie:
  • 60% determined by   average of PHAR401H, PHAR402H
  • 40% determined by   average of PHAR410, PHAR420, PHAR430, PHAR450, PHAR460

Examination of Thesis - changed to Examination of Research Report

  • Research report will be examined by a minimum of two examiners neither will be the student's supervisor
  • Unit coordinator will advise supervisor of the outcome with a copy of examiners' reports
  • Unit coordinator will finalise result and recommend final grade and percentage for PHAR402H to be awarded

Core Units

  • HLTH100 has been removed from the course.
  • PHAR260 has been removed from the course.
  • PHAR240 has been replaced with PHAR440 (combined unit with PHAR240)
  • PHAR495 has been replaced with:
  • PHAR401H 6cp; and
  • PHAR402H 12cp
  • PSYC102 has been added

Practicum component

  • 100 hours practicum has been reduced to 70 hours
  • 70 hours structured Practicum (2 weeks) will be completed in PHAR210

Students who commenced in 2018 or prior to 2018 and have not completed HLTH100 will be transferred to 2019 rules.

All continuing students will receive individual programs of study and will be transferred to the new rules where possible.
