Culture Fest honours and showcases the rich tapestry of cultures represented within the Armidale community, particularly highlighting the contributions of UNE's international students.
Festivities will begin with a traditional smoking ceremony and formal welcome, setting the tone for a afternoon of cultural immersion and entertainment.
Visitors can browse the many different food stalls, operated by UNE international students and their respective communities, and partake in a tantalising array of culinary delights from around the world.
In addition to the international food stalls, attendees can view cultural performances, including music and dance, or have their children participate in art activities and henna painting. Culture Fest will also feature food trucks and local businesses selling additional food items and drinks. The Welders Dog Brewery will even be on site with an inaugural pop-up bar in operation for attendees!
This free, inclusive event is open to all members of the community, tourists, and students, regardless of age.
Culture Fest invites everyone to come together on Saturday, 9 March in Civic and Curtis Park from 5.30pm to celebrate cultural diversity, foster meaningful connections, and embrace Armidale’s multiculturalism.
