The Oorala Awards acknowledges the excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and the University of New England staff that support them.

Student awards will be awarded in five categories (Student Achievement, Academic Excellence, Impact to Community, Sporting Achievement and Student Leadership). The student awards are open to all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander pathways, undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree research students.

Staff Awards will be awarded in three categories (Staff recognition, Staff Tertiary impact and Impact to Community). The staff awards are open to all Indigenous and non-Indigenous professional and academic staff.
