Calling for Expressions of Interest
The Chair of the Curriculum Committee, Professor Rachael Adlington, is calling for expressions of interest from eligible staff who wish to be considered for appointment as:
- Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law (SABL) Level D or E academic staff member (who is well-informed about course and curriculum design); and
- Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education (HASSE) Level B or C academic staff member (who is well-informed about course and curriculum design).
The Curriculum Committee is a Committee of Academic Board and its role is to oversee and report to the Academic Board on the courses offered by the University.
This appointment, as per the Terms of Reference, will be made by the Chair of Curriculum Committee in consultation with the relevant Executive Dean (or nominee) after an expression of interest process and with due consideration of School representation. Appointments are for a period of two (2) years:

Eligibility
Following external legal requirements, the Standing Orders – Academic Board and Committees, and the Curriculum Committee Terms of Reference, to be eligible for appointment as a Faculty academic staff member, staff need to:
- be a current academic staff member within the relevant Faculty and required level (i.e. SABL D/E, or HASSE B/C);
- preferably be employed on a continuing basis or on a fixed-term basis with sufficient service remaining to fulfil their period of office (until 01 August 2028);
- discuss their nomination with their supervisor. If appointed, they must confirm their supervisor's support before accepting the role; and
- be willing to make a declaration (following appointment) that they are a fit and proper person under the TEQSA Act and ESOS Act.
