The Directorate of English Language and International Services (ELIS) at the University of New England provides a wide range of services to international students, staff of the University, and the many members of the Armidale community who interact with international students.
The ELIS Offices are located in the UNE International (Building E21) on Booloominbah Drive, on the Armidale campus.

ELIS has three sections, which are separate but work together as needed:
Good Communication Skills
These include English language proficiency and are a key UNE Graduate Attribute. UNE encourages and supports you to develop your English via a number of programs and resources. As a student you have personal responsibility for seeking to further develop your English language proficiency during your time at UNE. Should you have a specific concern regarding your English please do not hesitate to contact us either via AskUNE or in person.We are happy to meet with you to discuss your needs. The Academic Skills Office is also an excellent source of advice and guidance.
