Notes
This is a highly applied unit of study requiring significant individual work. One 2-hour class per week is held, for which reading and other preparation are required. The class entails structured discussion within which evidence based propositions are debated and analytic approaches and results are discussed. Case studies addressed are real-life narratives of agribusiness firms facing problems and opportunities for which students will advocate beneficial change.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- synthesise complex agribusiness concepts and issues, drawing on relevant evidence and theory;
- evaluate and apply analytic tools to assess the performance of agribusiness firms and industries;
- critically analyse and solve complex agribusiness-related problems using advanced reasoning and analytical skills;
- formulate and justify evidence-based recommendations for change within agribusiness firms and the broader industry; and
- communicate theoretical and technical knowledge effectively to diverse audiences, using evidence to support arguments and recommendations.
