Around the globe, more than 550 million people use Spanish to communicate in their personal and professional lives.
If you want to be able to use Spanish in work-related, real life contexts, this unit will help you to build your language skills and future proof your career.
This unit both introduces you to the basics of the Spanish language and exposes you to specialised structures, vocabulary and cultural knowledge applied to professional environments. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- demonstrate elementary listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in everyday Spanish language used specifically in work-related environments and applied situations;
- communicate in Spanish with some depth on topics specific to the professional world;
- utilise elementary structures and functions of the Spanish language: basic vocabulary and grammatical structures;
- apply elementary cultural knowledge of work-related/professional environments within Hispanic contexts; and
- use cognitive skills to analyse and synthesise information when communicating at an elementary level in professional contexts.
