Equip yourself with the skills needed to operate effectively as an agricultural consultant in a rapidly evolving agricultural industry.
This unit extends your capacity to deliver results for diverse agricultural systems in a range of contexts and sectors. You will develop high-level skills in analysis, consultation, stakeholder management, communication, evaluation and facilitation.
You will have opportunities to build your capacity to work effectively with clients, agribusiness groups and agricultural industries and will use case studies and contemporary scenarios to support the development of your understanding of the skills required to succeed in an advisory role.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- communicate the key outcomes of whole farm business analysis in a range of client and industry contexts, and develop strategies to support clients through making changes to their agricultural systems;
- demonstrate the role, skills and attributes of an agricultural advisor and how to apply range of approaches to advisory and extension work in Australia;
- apply the principles of effective communication in an advisory and extension context ; and
- critically evaluate an advisory or extension strategy to ensure it meets the needs of the client, sector or industry.

To pass this unit, you must achieve a minimum cumulative total of 50% across the Presentation - Assurance Task and the Written Proposal and Presentation - Assurance Task, and meet all other passing requirements in the unit. |
