Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- demonstrate advanced understanding of the legal, regulatory and innovation frameworks (particularly in AI, data and intellectual property) that shape the deployment of emerging technologies;
- apply rigorous legal-analytical and empirical research methods to critique, interpret and communicate complex issues at the intersection of technology, society and governance, drawing on both doctrinal and non-doctrinal approaches; and
- synthesise interdisciplinary knowledge to develop principled, innovative and actionable legal or policy solutions for complex, real-world challenges in AI and biotechnology, with attention to ethics, sustainability and institutional constraints.
