Unit information

The unit is designed to equip you with the foundational language skills necessary for success in postgraduate study. You will demonstrate proficiency in a range of generic reading, writing, and listening skills tailored specifically to the demands of advanced academic work. Additionally, you will focus on expanding your academic vocabulary and ability to comprehend and utilise discipline-specific terminology relevant to your chosen field of study at the postgraduate level.

Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- demonstrate a range of generic reading, writing & listening skills applicable to post graduate study;
- apply a range of reading, writing & listening skills within a general academic context; and
- develop an academic vocabulary relevant to the discipline of postgraduate study.
