At UNE you get more than a degree
Celebrating 70 years in 2024, UNE is the first Australian university established outside of a capital city. UNE’s main campus boasts a unique location in the heart of the spectacular New England, featuring heritage architecture, grand avenues lined by ancient English elm trees and a cool climate.
UNE is the only Australian public university awarded the maximum 5 stars for Overall Experience 18 years in a row by the Good Universities Guide. This ranking recognises that UNE provides a legacy of excellence that no other public university in Australia can match.
It's a campus experience that you won’t find anywhere else. Vibrant colleges that provide fun, friendship and support throughout your degree – from inter-college games to cosy fireside conversations. Enjoy a traditional university college experience in a spectacular location while being close to the academic campus and sporting facilities.
Set on a spectacular 74 hectares and featuring the original homestead at the heart of the campus, UNE combines heritage with modern academic, sporting, recreational and accommodation facilities.
More than just beauty and history, UNE boasts state-of-the-art technology and teaching and research facilities, ensuring that our students can become future-fit.
We’ve saved you a place in college.
There are many affordable options for living on campus, starting at $170 per week, including a variety of catered and non-catered packages. Each college has its own distinctive character and all of them welcome students into friendly, inclusive and supportive communities.
We also have 30 residential scholarships of up to $5,000 per year to offset your college fees.
