Biography

I started as a school teacher and studied mathematics and chemistry part time to obtain my first degree. A career shift took me to statistics and whilst working as a statistician, I completed Master of Statistics at UNSW and PhD at ANU under the supervision of Professor Peter Hall. I have been an academic since 1997 at UNE and UQ. I have been able to apply my statistics training to developing models in diverse settings; physiotherapy, speech pathology, plant breeding, bioinformatics, medical image analysis, insurance, animal production etc.
