Dr Matthew Pringle

Senior Research Fellow - Applied Agricultural Remote Sensing Centre; School of Science and Technology

Biography

Matthew joined the Applied Agricultural Remote Sensing Centre as a Senior Research Fellow in 2025. His main research interest is the statistical analysis of messy, large, or otherwise problematic agricultural datasets. Matthew has almost 30 years’ experience working as a data scientist for diverse projects that include: crop identification through satellite imagery; modelling the dynamics of crop yield, soil carbon, or pasture quality; landuse mapping and digital soil mapping.
