Biography

I am a proud Ngarabal (Severn River) and Darug (Western Sydney) man, born on Ngunnawal country (Canberra) and raised on Ngunnawal and Yuin country (Far South Coast), moving to Anaiwan country in 2018. I have a strong background in service delivery (IT support, chef, library services) followed by community development projects in the AOD/SEWB/ACCHO and secondary education spaces. I am completing a B.Sc. (Math/CompSci) - almost there - online, on campus, college resident and intensive school visitor.

Since moving to the UNE campus, I have been a TRACKS mentor, ISA Treasurer (acting), Library Services casual, Library Collections Assistant, IT Intern at the Reserve Bank of Australia, Client Serices Officer (IT Support), Acting Technical Lead and Acting Manager. Last year I completed the CAUDIT Managers Program, supporting early career managers in Higher Education, and looking forward to the opportunity to utilise these skills within the team.

I value genuine engagement with stakeholders, building rapport and breaking down silos. Through this I have built: a trusted network of colleagues throughout UNE services and hierarchies; and skillsets for communicating with staff and students. Already seeing ins with other teams with one already approaching me for ways to engage and cross pollinate staff knowledge and skills.
