Biography

Melissa graduated from the Bachelor of Nursing in 2010. Melissa's areas of interests include rural emergency nursing, palliative care nursing and aged care. Her recent experince working in a multipurpose service has allowed for a diverse range of experiences. Melissa has completed a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing and Principles of Emergency Nursing course, which has led to her being credentialled to provide first line emergency care in rural emergency departments. Melissa also has an interest in radiography, having completed a Limited Licence Radiography Course and a obtaining remote radiography licence. Melissa has also completed training as a nurse immuniser. Melissa enjoys teaching nursing students about the unique challenges and benefits of working in rural nursing.
