Biography

Dr James Page (Jim Page) is an Australian educationist and anthropologist, and a specialist in peace research and education. Dr Page has served as member of the International Year for the Culture of Peace Taskforce within the UNESCO Secretariat in Paris and Australian co-ordinator for GIPGAP, the Group on International Aggression and Peace, examining social attitudes to peace and war. He has taught in a range of settings, including secondary education, peace and conflict studies, prison education and teacher education, and has published widely on issues relating to peace research, peace education, anthropology, philosophy and social ethics. He has served as a volunteer in refugee support work, and is currently engaged in a life-history project involving a former refugee of the DRC.  Dr Page lives on the Redcliffe Peninsula, in Queensland, Australia.
