Dr Thi Hiep Dao

Biography

Dr Thi Hiep Dao is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of New England (UNE). She obtained her PhD degree in 2021 from UNE. Dr Dao has published 29 peer-reviewed journal articles (the majority in well-known international journals), one book, and 20 peer-reviewed conference papers. Her research has a profound impact worldwide and significantly contributes to knowledge in the fields of precision feeding, poultry nutrition, food waste recycling, and animal disease prevention that have been internationally recognized. Dr Dao was awarded the UNE Chancellor’s Doctoral Research Medal for her PhD research excellence in 2021. In addition, the quality of Dr Dao's research is evidenced by selection as Editor’s Choice of the best paper of the month in the Poultry Science - the top journal in the field. She is an invited reviewer of well-known international journals including Poultry Science, World’s Poultry Science Journal, Scientific Reports, Animal Feed Science and Technology, and Livestock Science. Additionally, Dr Dao has achieved prestigious awards and scholarships including the UNE International Postgraduate Research Award, J.L. Corbett Award, Australian Egg Corporation Limited’s Top Up Scholarship, Award of the Hans’ Animal Life Science Foundation (Korea), and Kotex Scholarship for Vietnamese talented female students.
