Biography

Dr Ivanah Oliver is a Lecturer of Soil Science at the University of New England. Ivanah completed a PhD in soil organic carbon processes titled ‘The quantity, spatial distribution and stability of root carbon inputs from pasture species into soil’. Ivanah teaches into a range of undergraduate and post graduate units, specialising in soil formation, landscapes and classification. Prior to joining UNE, Ivanah was a researcher at the Victoria Department of Primary Industries where she contributed to Soil Carbon and Nitrous Oxide research programs. Her current research is focused on understanding the characteristics and distribution soils in the Alpine regions, and soils education.
