Biography

Dr Teka is a veterinarian and early-career researcher with expertise in animal health and production systems. His research focuses on poultry health, sustainable parasite control, anthelmintic resistance, and green veterinary pharmacology. In 2023, he was awarded an Australian Research Council (ARC) Early Career Industry Fellowship for his project, “Advancing Chicken Helminthology for Sustainable Worm Control.”. He is keen to further develop a research career involving the poultry industry.
