Victor Wright

Biography

Dr Wright joined the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management at UNE in 1975. He led the conception and design of UNE's MBA and Bachelor of Commerce degrees and was the foundation head of the Department of Marketing and Management (now UNE Business School). He was Director of the MBA Program for eight years from 1996. He has successfully supervised, alone or with colleagues, candidates for seven Masters of Economics,  17 PhDs and one Doctorate in Health Services Management. He has published 23 refereed articles and contributed to 31 books and monographs. With a background in Marketing, Management and Economics, Dr Wright currently conducts research into the adoption of innovations, public compliance with Covid measures, marketing theory, and strategic management under uncertainty. He is a Distinguished Fellow and Distinguished Life Member of the Australasian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society and Co-editor of Australasian Agribusiness Review, Australasian Agribusiness Perspectives and Australian Farm Business Management Journal, all published by the Agribusiness Centre at UNE.
