Biography
Dr Tasmiha Tarafder (Tina) joined the UNE Business School as a Lecturer in 2025, bringing extensive experience across Australian and international higher education institutions. She has taught, coordinated, and developed a comprehensive range of courses in business, management, communication, and international business.
Her teaching philosophy emphasises learner-centred, inclusive, and values-driven education. She consistently supports student well-being, fosters equitable learning environments, and enhances academic success through tailored guidance, mentoring, and responsive pedagogical practices. Tina has a proven record of increasing student satisfaction and improving progression and retention outcomes, particularly through proactive engagement with diverse and at-risk cohorts.
In the realms of academic governance and service, Tina has contributed to program coordination, curriculum development, quality assurance processes, and institutional compliance.
