Professional Interests

Institutional and strategic aspects of environmentally sustainable rural development, with particular concern for agriculture and natural resources, policy analysis, and the rural non-farm economy.
Economics of agricultural technology generation and transfer, with particular concern for natural resource management, and efficacy of investment in agricultural research¾local, national and international.
Economics of uncertainty, with particular concern for risk management in agriculture, for dealing with risk in project appraisal, and for the role of risk in farmers' technological choice.
Project and program evaluation, with emphasis on natural resources and rural development.
