Dr Ashely Webb

Biography

Ashley Webb is the Leader, Soils North with the NSW Department of Primary Industries, based in Tamworth. Dr Webb is a Senior Research Scientist with extensive experience researching soil and water management issues. He leads a team of 30 research and development staff in northern NSW undertaking projects to support sustainable and profitable agricultural and forest industries. Ashley joined DPI Agriculture in 2013 having spent the previous 12 years employed by Forests NSW in various soil and water research and management roles. Ashley has collaborated with a number of Australian and International researchers from several earth and environmental science and policy disciplines. He was a 2011 Gottstein Fellow, is a Fellow of the Institute of Australian Geographers and holds an adjunct research position within the Australian Centre for Agriculture and Law at the University of New England having combined his high-level science background with qualifications in law. Ashley has over 40 refereed publications and has supervised a number of PhD, Masters and honours students.
