About this scholarship

Benefits:

UNE are currently seeking a PhD candidate to work on this exciting project in the School of Science and Technology.

This scholarship opportunity is open to both Domestic and International applicants, which will be funded jointly by Cogninet Australia and the University of New England.

About the project:

The project is looking at developing research-based models for data analytics using AI and Machine learning techniques in the domains of medical and educational data analytics. These models will assist and facilitate the medical professionals with machine learning modelling-based decision support tools for better patient support through diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring patient conditions. Further education analytics will help in improving learning & teaching and student engagement improvement in higher education settings.

Applicants should have a computer science background with sound Python programming skills. Students must also be available for industry partner engagements and an Internship as part of their studies.

How will the scholarship be paid?

The annual stipend value is $36,862 per annum (2025 rate) tax-free which is paid to the candidate in fortnightly instalments.

Scholarship Special Conditions:

The scholarship is tenable for three years and six months (3.5) full-time for a doctoral degree.

The scholarship will also cover tuition fees and Single Overseas Health Cover for International candidates.
