About the project:

Background

Bill and Michelle Stewart were both graduate students at UNE.  Both graduated in 1978 – Michelle with an MA in Musicology, and Bill, with a PhD in Zoology.  They will always be grateful for the experience and many skills developed during their studies in the Music and Zoology departments and the wonderful support and relationships with professors and peers they enjoyed on campus.

Scholarship Purpose

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students doing post graduate research in the field of Zoology. Bill has a particular interest in the study of insects, birds, mammals and reptiles.

How will the scholarship be paid?

The scholarship is valued at $7,000 per annum, paid into the candidate’s bank account in two equal instalments.

Scholarship Special Conditions:

The scholarship shall be awarded for the duration of the postgraduate degree, however, continuation of the scholarship in subsequent Trimesters and/or academic years will be dependent upon the recipient continuing to meet the conditions of eligibility, as stated in the Terms and Conditions, regarding candidature enrolment status along with passing annual milestone reviews.

Failure to continue to meet the requirements may result in you being required to repay any instalments already received.

The University reserves the right to alter the Terms and Conditions of this award at any stage.
