Policies and Course Rules

The course rules for Higher degrees can be found in the UNE Course and Unit Catalogue. Other aspects of candidature are governed by UNE Rules, Policies, Procedures and Guidelines and these can all be found in the UNE Policy Library under 'H'.

Research Supervision Agreements

Each Research Supervisor and HDR Candidate should complete and sign a Supervision Agreement in the first four week of beginning research.

Confirmation of Candidature

Confirmation of Candidature is the most significant milestone in the first year of your Doctoral Candidature.

Progress Reports

HDR students are required to submit an academic progress report at six monthly intervals throughout their candidature. Research Services contacts students via their UNE student email to advise them when each report is open for access. HDR Students should apply for any variations to their HDR Candidature using the forms below:
