What next?

Discuss with your supervisor and set dates for:

Preparation of the written report
Oral presentation at a School seminar
Meeting with the Confirmation Panel to 'defend' your project.

You also need to plan to satisfy any extra School requirements or special conditions of your candidature.

Then you do the following:

Prepare and submit a research proposal
Deliver an oral presentation to School seminar
'Defend' your proposal to Confirmation Panel
Satisfy any other School requirements or special conditions
Complete section 1 of the Confirmation Proforma (student alone)
Attach to the Confirmation Report Form your research propsal
provide any other documentation relevant to the Panel e.g. certificate of completion for induction courses, presentations given on the research, evidence of having met any of the seven milestones.
Your supervisor completes section 2 of the Confirmation Proforma
The Chair of the Confirmation Panel completes section 3 of the Confirmation Proforma.
