Give generously to Pathfinders this Christmas

Published 10 December 2024

The Giving Tree, located in the foyer of Booloominbah beneath the Gordon Window, is accessible from the main entrance, which is open daily until 19 December.

Chief Operating Officer Meredith Perry and Kylie Smith initiated this project after a conversation about giving and engaging others to support those in need.

Pathfinders Armidale’s Youth Refuge provides essential crisis accommodation and support to young people aged 16–24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Donations to the Giving Tree will directly benefit the young people at the refuge, helping to meet their immediate needs while they work toward brighter futures.

You can help by bringing the following items to the Giving Tree in Booloominbah:

  • Toiletry packs: deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair care, skin care
  • Clothing and essentials: socks, pyjamas, hoodies, backpacks, beanies
  • Comfort and leisure items: puzzles, journals, art supplies, books, journals with pens
  • Practical items: phone chargers, power banks, basic toolkits for repairs
  • Recreational goods: sports equipment, board games, Bluetooth speakers
  • Homeware: single bedsheet sets, towels, small blankets or throw pillows, room diffusers
  • Other: reusable waterbottles, coffee mugs, lunch boxes

These thoughtful donations will make a tangible difference to young people in crisis. However, please avoid donating gift vouchers, as they may be exchanged for unintended items.

Let’s work together to make this holiday season a little brighter for the young people in our community. Your support is deeply appreciated.
