Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (of the ACT), the Honourable Lucy McCallum
In March, UNE will recognise the 30th anniversary of our illustrious Law School and we warmly welcome former staff members, graduates and current students to join us to celebrate.
We will host a formal anniversary dinner on March 10 at Booloominbah, after canapes on the lawn, with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (of the ACT), the Honourable Lucy McCallum, as guest speaker.
In the lead-up to the event, UNE Law Lecturer Julia Day is gathering stories and pictures relating to the school, to document its long and proud history. These will be shared on social media and at the anniversary dinner, so contact Julia at jwerren@une.edu.au if you have something to share.
“Our Law School has grown to become a leading regional and online provider in this space,” Julia said. “The education we have provided has changed the lives of so many amazing students, many of whom have gone on to enjoy wonderful careers in all fields of law in society.
“We are looking forward to celebrating these achievements, but also the iconic law staff who have been instrumental in this success. It’s a night to share memories and for past and current staff and students to reconnect.”
Tickets, costing $110 (which includes drinks on arrival, canapes, a three-course meal and tea/coffee), are strictly limited, and attendees must RSVP by 28 February.
