Market Day, formerly Lifesaver Day, is a fun and informal way for new students to connect with stall holders, such as local clubs, societies and community organisations, and explore the opportunities available to them in their new community.
Stalls will open at 3.30pm before the live entertainment starts at 5pm. Local Aboriginal Dance troupe, the Gogan Dancers, will take to the stage first followed by Terra Firma and Ruby Fields.
The alcohol-free event is open to everyone and free of charge. In additions to the stalls there will be a smoking ceremony and giant games.
Market Day will take place on the Consett Davis Playing Fields at SportUNE on Thursday, 17 March from 3.30pm – 7pm.
